Welcome to the website of Pink Bra'ss,

Somerset's only  female brass band

About the Band

Pink Bra'ss is Somerset's only all female bass band drawing musicians from all over the county.

The band was formed in 2016 to raise money for Breast Cancer Now by performing charity concerts under the baton of conductor Joanne Sykes.

The band's first concert in July 2016 at The Wells Town Hall was a great success; raising £1,500 for Breast Cancer Now.  In July 2017 the band got together with Breast Cancer Now to perform at their fundraising Women's Pamper Evening in Burnham on Sea.

The main fundraising focus for 2017 was The Stephen Sykes Appeal.  Stephen is a very talent young trombonist, living in Somerset, who was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma, for which he needed life saving stem cell treatment and specialist medication.  From the proceeds of a concert and a raffle the band was able to donate £3,500 towards Stephen Sykes treatment.

Next Concert 30th June 2018

The next concert will be in aid of Cancer Research UK and will be on Saturday 30th June 2018 at the Wells Town Hall, 7.30pm.
